She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sims (John Buck) and Sylvia Tudor Sims; her husband Charles J. Byers Sr.; her children, Daniel Byers (Danny) and Mary Wright; her brothers, Virgil Sims (Bucky) and Charles Robert Sims; and her great grandchild Faith Marie Keegan.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles J. Byers Jr. and Eddie Byers (Brenda); her grandchildren, Ashley Wright, Amanda Nelson (Abe), Michael Wright (Hattie), Kari Byers-Keegan (Tommy), Erin Adcock (Kurt), Sydney Walters and Taylor Walters; and her sister Nancy Rogers of Marietta, GA. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Preddy Funeral Home (59 Edgewood School Ln, Madison, VA 22727). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
