She was predeceased by: her parents, Argil Garland and Virginia Bell Garland; her husband William Franklin McFarland; and her brothers, Spencer "Shorty" Garland and Joe Garland.
She is survived by: her children, Mike McFarland, Lynn McFarland and Mechelle White (Butch); her grandchildren, Mikey McFarland and Kim Stamper (Zack); her great grandchild Asher Stamper; her siblings, Gail Tate, Beckie Friend (Oakley) and Mason Garland; and her sister-in-law Debbie Parks. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lindsey Funeral Home (219 N Main St, Rural Retreat, VA 24368).
