He was predeceased by : his parents, Truby Atwell and Bertha Atwell of Groseclose; his wife Doris Atwell; and his siblings, Evelyn Smith, Ethel Childers and Alfred Atwell.
He is survived by : his son Shane Atwell of Lenox, GA; and his sisters, Gladys Johnson (Tupie) of Rural Retreat and Ruby Cox of Rural Retreat.
