He is survived by : his children, Joe A. Hicks, Jr. of Chapmanville and Debby S. Crawford (Danny) of Louisa, Virginia; his grandchildren, Billy Joe Crawford, Harry S. Hicks, Nashay Christian and Hope J. Hicks; his stepgranddaughter Haley Hill; his siblings, Jessee Hicks (Dorothy) and Faye Gillenwater; and his stepchildren, Tammy Hartsock (Pete), Kim Palmer (Chris), Pam Barnett (David), Gerald Salyer (Vickie) and Robert Salyer. He is also survived by Several step-grandchildren; step-greatgrandchildren; nieces and nephews.
