He was predeceased by : his parents, Clyde Ray and Massie Ray; and his siblings, Terry Ray, Janet Wise and Judy Witt.

He is survived by : his daughters, Leigh Wilson, Jason Witt of Dante and Victoria Nelson (Morgan) of Conover, N. C.; his siblings, Becky Phillips of Dante, Sherry Ray of St. Paul, Brenda Wells of Ala and Doyal Phillips (Ann) of Dante; and his grandchildren, Trey, Hayden, Caroline Wilson and Evelyn Nelson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.
