With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Virginia Thomas Sykes of Sandston, Virginia, who passed away on October 12, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Earl W. Sykes; her parents, Coral E. Thomas and Wiley E. Thomas; and her siblings, James Thomas, Robert Thomas (Rachel), Baxter Thomas (Carrie Mae), Hobart Thomas (Eunice) and Mabel Thomas.

She is survived by : her children, Anthony William Sykes, Michael Edward Sykes and Dawn Sykes McNamara (Dan); and her grandson Thomas H. McNamara. She is also survived by extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Varina Episcopal Church Outreach Ministries or to A Servants Heart Ministry, which is a ministry that provides direct aide to the homeless in the City of Richmond at A Servant's Heart Ministry, P.O. Box 9186, Richmond, VA. 23227.
