She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Teza Roberts; and her son Alfred L. Ward. She is survived by: her children, Phyllis Ward of South Boston, VA and James Ward, Sr. of Drakes Branch, VA. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren; her devoted caregiver and daughter-in-law, Pauline Medley; brother-in-law, Clarence Roberts of Baltimore, MD; sister-in-law, Ardell Martin of Baltimore, MD; special friends, Erma W. Hatcher and Sandy Wood, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
