Herndon; his parents, John Herndon and Mary Herndon; his siblings, Lindsay Herndon, Leona Engram and Lillian Hamshar; his daughters, Gail Harris (Richard) and Lisa Shifflett (Gary); his siblings, Etta Collins and Floyd Herndon; and his grandchildren, Eric (Kara), Brian, Cassandra, Amanda Gray (David), Chris (Jessie) and Stacie Shifflett (Daniel). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
