With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patrick Newman Sr. of Smithfield, Virginia, who passed away on July 30, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Newman and Harriet Newman; his sister Eileen Crudgington (Tommy); his son-in-law Don Welch; and his grandson Jonathan S. Lutz.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Botting Newman; his brother Roger Newman (Ginny); his children, Tammy Welch (Larry), Michelle Lutz (Curt), Wesley Newman (April) and Patrick Newman, Jr. (Diana); his grandchildren, Michelle Welch Borges (Jeff), Donnie Welch, Kerry Pagel (Brett), Dontaye Lutz, Tommy Lutz, Nathanael Lutz, Paul Lutz (Kylie), Simon Lutz, Christina Lutz, Matthew Newman, Ashley Newman, Patrick Newman III, Daniela Newman and Christina Newman; and his great grandchildren, Maisy Pagel and Jonathan N. Lutz.
