She is survived by: her son Donnie Hughes; her grandchildren, Shay Hughes (Margaret), Caleigh Hughes and Jake Hughes; her great grandchild Robert Hughes; her sibling's children, Valerie Hughes, Becky Piso, Ann and Gary Karthauser; and her close friends, Julia Whitt and Vernell Oakes.
