With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Frances Jeter Barksdale Wyatt of South Boston, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Frances Jeter Barksdale left this world on July 12, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Jeter and Orpha Audrey Jeter; her husband Herman Wyatt; and her siblings, Frank Jeter, Elizabeth Jeter and Evelyn O'Neil.
She is survived by: her children, Leslie Duffer (Curtis) of Alton, Linda Gail Williams (Kendall) and Charles Beverly Barksdale, II of Glen Burnie, MD; her grandchildren, Shawn Williams (Lauren), Amber Williams, Jacob Williams (Alex), Brett Barksdale, Caleb Barksdale, Joey Duffer and Abby Duffer; and her niece Sandra Atkins (Ronnie) of Crewe, VA.. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mercy Seat Presbyterian Church (3068 Wooding Rd, Sutherlin, VA 24594). A reception was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
