She was predeceased by: her parents, James Otey Solomon and Elsie Burton Solomon; her husband J. Dean Bass; and her brother James Weldon Solomon. She is survived by: her children, Dianne Bass Hinson (Warren Hinson) of Chapel Hill, NC and Rickey Dean Bass (Verna); and her grandchildren, Josh Hinson, Ryan Hinson, Caroline Hinson Flory, Christi Youngblood, Lee Rudisill and Tyler Bass. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
