We are sad to announce that on November 7, 2025, at the age of 94, Mary Price Thaxton of South Boston, Virginia, born in Bedford, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Harrison Price and Mary Craddock; her husband Killis Washington Thaxton Jr.; her children, Larry Thaxton, Sr. and Glenda Sue Thaxton; her grandson Larry Thaxton, Jr.; and her niece Linda Reagan.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanette T. Rogers and Daryl E. Thaxton; and her grandchildren, Tracey Rogers, Beth Francis, Melissa Thaxton, Allison Thaxton and Tammy Thaxton. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM and on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Glenwood United Methodist Church (4030 Philpott Rd, South Boston, VA 24592). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
