He was predeceased by: his children, Robert Dale Jones and Rose Renee Banes. He is survived by: his children, Darlene Marie Harlow (Douglas) of Boydton, Anita Louise Carter of Palmer Springs, Jerry Edward Banes, Jr. (Denise) of South Hill, Marvin Thomas Banes (Annie) of South Hill and Thomas Raleigh Banes (Jennifer) of Brodnax; and his brother Stuart Lee Banes of Powhatan, VA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, four step grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
