He was predeceased by: his parents, Trip Coleman, Sr. and Lealia Brooke Johnson Coleman; his children, Timothy and Karen Renee Coleman; and his siblings, Trip Coleman, Jr., George "Pete" Coleman, Charles "Popeye" Coleman and Mary McManus.
He is survived by: his brother Harry Coleman of Bowling Green, Virginia; his grandchildren, Kimberli Coleman of Germantown, Stephen Goldberg of Gaithersburg and Alan Goldberg of Bowling Green, Virginia; and his siblings-in-law, Ethel Easley, Thelma Neal (William), Ruth Thornton Coleman, Lucille Coleman, Donald "Buck", James "Totten" (Anne), Richard (Geraldine), Russell (Reacie), Phil (Sandra) and Clyde. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
