With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Holmes Nelson Sr. of Spencer, Virginia, who passed away on January 12, 2021 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Holmes Nelson Sr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Holmes Nelson and Lottie Pearl Ellis Nelson; and his brother Hoyte Leon Nelson, Sr.. He is survived by : his wife Ethylene Edwards Nelson; his children, Susan Hedrick (Arnie), Paul Nelson and H. E. Nelson (Sandra); his granddaughter Katie Poole (Matt); his great grandchildren, Makayla and Grayson Poole; his sisters, Arlene Conway and Louise Stone (Clifford); and also Harold Coleman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Because of Covid, services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Moorefield Store Vol.
