He was predeceased by: his former wife Alma Gauss Eklund. He is survived by: his wife Marilynne E. Eklund; his sister Gladys Munhall of New Jersey; his daughters, Anita Eklund Hurley (Rick) of Richmond, VA and Lynne Louise Eklund (David Williams) of Manassas, VA; his stepchildren, Mike Edwards (Suenette) of Gainesville, VA and Laurie Edwards Shifflett (Kenny) of Chantilly, VA; and his grandchildren, Justin Shifflett, Ashley Clark, Jeanette Jones, Kellen Hunsberger, Veronica Kepler and Sean Hurley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (http://www.woundedwarrierproject.org).
