He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Virginia Jordan and Jesse James Barkley; his wife Sharon Homan Barkley; his siblings, Elizabeth Barkley Stover, Betty Barkley and Herbert Barkley; his sister-in-law Peggy Hulvey Barkley; his nephews, Nelson Stover, Jay Stover, Raymond Stover, Wayne Barkley and Charlie Johnson; and his niece Brenda Gibbs Stover.
He is survived by: his sister Jane Barkley Sellers; his brother-in-law Harold Sellers; and his nieces and nephews, Rachel Sellers Hawkins, Laura Stover Johnson, Brenda Barkley Fetzner, Robbin Gribben Sellers, Jean Stover, Greg Sellers, Joe Stover, Mike Barkley, Jeff Barkley and Tony Hawkins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Henry Funeral Home (1030 W Beverley St, Staunton, VA 24401). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Old Providence Presbyterian Church (1005 Spottswood Rd, Steeles Tavern, VA 24476).
