We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Matt Duane Burgess of Stony Creek, Virginia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Roland Atlas Burgess and Shirley S. Burgess; his siblings, Sheila Gillenwater, Neil Burgess (Susan) and Dennis Burgess (Robin); and his nieces and nephews, Greg Burgess (Kim), Leah Burgess (Ryan), Matthew Burgess (Jessie), Anneliese Schlachter (Ryan), Haley, Marissa Gillenwater and Stuart Breeden (Mallory). He was also cherished by great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 PM Tuesday in the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service and suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
