It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annie Gunter of Stuart, Virginia, born in Stokes, North Carolina, who passed away on December 18, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Dickerson Varner and Hessie Mae Shelton Varner. She is survived by: her daughter Karen Walker; her sisters, Louise Martin, Edna Terrell, Jean Collins and Lena Hughes; her siblings' children, David Hughes, Joseph Terrell, Linda Hughes and Debbie Oakley; her cousin Velmalene Shelton Hylton; and her son-in-law Steve Walker.
