She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazel Corns Martin and Joel Lester Martin; her husband Theodore Arnold Smith; and her sister Kitty May Goard. She is survived by: her children, Penny Rigney of Martinsville, VA, Tina Smith of Stuart, VA, Tim Rakes of Stuart, VA and O'Neal Smith of Dobson, NC; and her siblings, Judy Mabe of Patrick Springs, Susan Overby of Stuart, VA and David Martin.
