He was predeceased by: his brother Carl Ray Fain. He is survived by: his wife Doris Ann Fain; his stepchildren, Sonya Bitz (Chris) of Alaska and Justin Noah (Ashley) of Mount Airy, NC; his grandchildren, Colten Bitz, Carsen Bitz, Landen Noah and Liam Noah; and his brother Leon Fain (Shirlene) of Patrick Springs, VA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Surry Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 981, Mount Airy, NC 27030 or to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 18981 Jeb Stuart Hwy., Stuart, VA 24171.
