He was predeceased by: his son Darryl Fain; his great grandchild Rachel Eden Morrison; and his siblings, Opal Martin, Katherine Lovell, Maxine Storey, Betty Garrett and Jimmy Fain.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Plaster Fain; his daughter Elva Caldwell of Winston-Salem, NC; and his stepchildren, Sherry Kendrick of Kim Helms and Keith Benfield of Patrick Springs.
