She was predeceased by: her parents, Dallas Valentine Pilson and Alpha Morrison Pilson; her husband Harvey Smart of Washington; and her siblings, Wilma Foley, E. V., Roy, Ralph, Eugene, Wayne and Alfred Pilson.
She is survived by: her daughter Brenda; her son-in-law Durand Hines of Patrick Springs; her sons, Donnie (Cathy Smart) and Billy (Robyn Smart); her grandchildren, Brian Hines, Jessica Hines, Brandon Hines, Lindsay Alley (Brian) and Jared Smart (Brittany); and her great grandchild Reveley Alley.
