He is survived by: his children, Timothy Norman Sutphin of Patrick Springs, Laura Sutphin of Stuart and Joseph Smith of Stuart; his grandchildren, Caleb Sutphin, Abbigale Lawrence and Jacob Hughes; and his brothers, William Sutphin of Eden, NC, Glen Sutphin of Mount Airy, NC, John Wayne Sutphin of Stuart and Tommy E. Massey of Stuart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to: Clyde N. Sutphin Memorial Fund, C/o Moody Funeral Home, P.O. Box 307, Stuart, VA 24171.
