He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie C. Barbour, Sr. and Mattie Hairston Barbour; his wife Edna Wimbush Barbour; and his siblings, Lucy Via, Corene Street, Velton Barbour and Colonel Hayes Barbour.
He is survived by: his children, Edna Laverne, Tyrone Barbour and Sonya Hairston; and his sister Barbour Joyce of Iowa. He is also survived by five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
