He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Coleman; his brother William Coleman; and his niece Shaunaci Knight. He is survived by: his wife Nova Lee Coleman; his son Thomas Coleman; his mother Verna Bonds Coleman of Spencer; and his siblings, Mary Coleman of Spencer, Patricia Knight of Sandy Ridge, NC, Harold Coleman of Spencer and Robert Coleman of Stuart.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
