He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Columbus Bryant and Lonie Bryant Rorrer; and his siblings-in-law, G. W. Thomas and Regena Haden Handy. He is survived by: his wife Linda Lou Handy Bryant; his son Jason Erman Bryant (Monica); his grandchildren, Kenneth, Dillon, David, Paul, Jake Bryant, Jessica and Abigail Bryant; his siblings, Calvin Bryant (Debbie), Kent Bryant (Charlene), James Bryant (Judy), Lucille Bryant Thomas and Anna Bryant Walker; and his brother-in-law James "Jimmy" Handy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice.
