She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Luther Emerson and Rose-Ada Broadwell Phillips; her children, Ray Hagwood, Jr. (Misty), Tim Hagwood and Ann Hagwood Slate (Shane); her sister Jean Phillips McLeod; her sister-in-law Barbee Phillips; her granddaughters, Sarah Hagwood Day (Grant), Abigail Hagwood and Haley Hagwood; her great grandchild Mason Day; her husband Ray Gordon Hagwood, Sr.; her son Henry (Sonny); her daughter-in-law Renee Hagwood; and her siblings, Ruby Phillips Honeycutt, Gay Phillips Creech, Bobby Phillips, Edison Phillips, Eldridge Phillips, Harold Phillips, Linwood Phillips and Ray Phillips.

Respecting the current limitations resulting from COVID-19, the family is requesting those wishing to pay their respects do so online or via phone, and join the family in person for the memorial service when it is held.
