He was predeceased by: his parents, Harbour Reed Martin and Minnie Etta Fain Martin; his significant other Minnie Strickland Martin; and his siblings, Annie Martin, Etta Martin, Eunice Martin, Frances Martin Crowder, Ethlyne Martin Gilley, Samuel P., W. Hobert and Joel C. Martin.
He is survived by: his daughter Darlene; his son-in-law Bobby Blake of Durham, NC; his granddaughters, Rebecca Blake and Elizabeth Blake Beyle (Jon); his great grandchildren, Taylor Rebecca Beyle, James Christopher Lewis (Abby), Jordan Elizabeth Beyle, Blake Andrew-Horton Lewis and Jon Ward Beyle (Melissa); and his great great grandchild Levi Mathias Lewis.
