He was predeceased by: his parents, George Chitwood of Washington and Annie Mae Hall Chitwood; his wife Phyllis Stegall Chitwood; and his son Lee Norman Chitwood. He is survived by: his children, Larry Chitwood (Renee), Donald Chitwood (Carole), Billy Chitwood (Martha), Jimmy Handy and Linda McCullum (Guy); and his brother Eugene Chitwood (Sammy). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
