She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Lee Stegall and Sally Ann Bowman Stegall; and her son Jeff Handy. She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Austin "Cotton" Chitwood; her children, Jimmy Handy, Larry Chitwood (Renee), Donald Chitwood (Carole), Billy Chitwood (Martha) and Linda McCullum (Guy); and her pet Kitty Cat. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
