She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Thomas Nowlin and Mable Redd Nowlin; her husband Benjamin Redd; her daughter Pamela Carlton; and her brothers, Sam Thomas Nowlin, Jr. and James Donald Nowlin.
She is survived by: her son Benny; her daughter-in-law Sophia Redd of Stuart; her granddaughters, Shounita Carlton (Doug Watkins), Tarongular Yellock and Candace Manns (Kenneth); her great grandchildren, Kyonna Dandridge, Nakiyah Redd, Tycarius Yellock, Pamela Watkins, Jymasia Manns, Landon Manns and Daniyah Watkins; her sisters, Margaret Dodson of Patrick Springs, Nancy Covington of Patrick Springs and Carmen Nowlin of Patrick Springs; her sisters-in-law, Margie Nowlin of Patrick Springs and Judy Nowlin of Mt. Vernon, NY; and her close friend Velma Tyson of Spring Valley, NY.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
