He is survived by: his wife Brenda Scott Hughes; his children, Valarie Nowlin (Landon), Timmy Hughes and John Hughes (Beth); his grandchildren, Mike Hughes (TJ), Rachel Helms (Austin), Erin Hughes (Brandon Hylton), Brooke Holt, Bailey Holt, Will Morris, Caleb Morris, Ali Hughes and Little John Hughes; his great grandchildren, Brystol Helms, Stella Helms, Parker Helms, Paisley Hylton, Memphis Hylton and Oliver Holt; his brothers, Bobby Hughes (Emma) and Larry Hughes; and his close friends, Dean Lawson and Allen Williams. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
