She was predeceased by : her parents, Arlie Garfield Swinney and Eula Belle Ring Swinney; her husband Raymond Clettus Burkentine; and her sister Betty Rosenbaum. She is survived by : her children, Sheila Hodge (Faron) of Ivanhoe, VA, Shirley Crigger, Mike Burkentine (Dawn) of Rural Retreat, VA and A. J. Burkentine (Dana) of Crockett, VA; her grandchildren, Beth Tibbs, Logan Musser, Levi Burkentine, Paiten Burkentine, Aiden Burkentine and Easton Burkentine; her great grandchild Addison Tibbs; and her siblings, Bobby Swinney, Rita Goodson of Fries, VA, Wanda Leagans of Fries, VA and Mary Alice Shupe of Fries, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
