It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charlotte Hughes of Swords Creek, Virginia, who passed away on October 16, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl J. Whited and Lethia Marie Smith Whited; her husband Herbert Hoover Hughes; and her brothers, Carl William Whited and LaRoy Whited.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Donald Hughes (Cindy) and Patricia Lavonne Hubbard; her grandchildren, Kimberly Stallard (Dustin), Andrew Hughes, Cory Hubbard and Emily Reynolds (Cody); and her great grandchildren, Keaton Stallard, Conner Stallard, Caleb Reynolds, Zelphy Hubbard and Ensley Reynolds. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home (4686 Redbud Hwy, Honaker, VA 24260). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
