He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Gallie, Viola Horn, Ocie and Henry Proffitt. He is survived by : his parents, Charlie Lewis Proffitt of Shortts Gap and Linda Lou Horn Proffitt of Swords Creek; his daughters, Jessica Proffitt (Liam Charles) of Pounding Mill and Tawny Proffitt of Honaker; and his siblings, Delmer Proffitt of Richlands, Charles Andrew Proffitt (Jenni) of Cedar Bluff and Lovace Bowman (Leslie) of Roanoke. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
