She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Meadows and Goldie Barnes Meadows; and her siblings, Lorrine Shelton, Pansy Meadows and Gene Meadows.

She is survived by : her husband Joe William Shelton, Sr. of Swords Creek, VA.; her son Joe William Shelton, Jr. (Shelly) of Raven, VA.; her grandchildren, Joe William "Will" Shelton, III, Kendra Flinchum (Eric) and Haley Shelton; and her great grandchildren, London Shea, Maci Shelton and Kaleb Baugh.
