He was predeceased by: his parents, Stuart Andes Neal and Mary Corell Neal; and his brother William Frederick Neal. He is survived by: his brother Thompson McGavock Neal (Carolyn); his niece Mary Elliott Neal (Erik Loken); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Soren and Calvin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to A Child Shall Lead Them Food Pantry, P. O. Box 694, Tazewell, Virginia 24651 to the attention of Mary Jones.
