She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie O'Quinn and Judy O'Quinn (Keen); her husband Gerald Ralph Childress; her siblings, Charlie O'Quinn, Ephraim O'Quinn, Jesse O'Quinn, Thomas H. O'Quinn, Edgar Frank O'Quinn, B. Hassel O'Quinn, Eva Yates, Fannie Deel and Josephine O'Quinn; her sons, Gerald Scott Childress and Timothy Dean Childress; and her grandparents, George M. O'Quinn and Nellie O'Quinn.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Grundy Funeral Home (22208 Riverside Dr, Grundy, VA 24614). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Childress & Viers Cemetery (536 Slope St, North Tazewell, VA 24630).
