He was predeceased by : his parents, Phillip Mongold and Delia Ellen Lantz Mongold; his wife Ruby Wanda Combs; his daughter-in-law Brenda K. Mongold; his grandson Phillip Craig Mongold; and his siblings, Wilson Mongold, Raymond Mongold, Ruth Southerly, Londie Southerly and Della Crider.
He is survived by : his children, David R. Mongold (Lori), Jimmy R. Mongold, Barbara E. Holloway (Tony "Red"), Trina K. Smith (Dennis "Denny"), Ruth Ann Parrott (Ronnie) and Thelma L. Martinez. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
