She was predeceased by : her parents, Eustace C. "Buster" Green and Frances R. Green; and her siblings, Betty Campbell, Shirley Ames, Doris Eaton, Robert, Donnie and Carrol "Tom" Green.

She is survived by : her husband Robert "Bob" Hughes; her sons, David Hughes (Missy), Jason Hughes (Susan) and Matt Hughes; her grandchildren, Hayley Corder (Gary), Morgan, Madisen and Noah Hughes; and her sisters, Virginia "Ginni" Barb of Edinburg and Linda Borden of Edinburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, c/o Manor Memorial United Methodist Church, 9320 North Congress Street, New Market, VA 22844 or to Shenandoah County Relay for Life.
