It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christie Ann Crookshanks of Verona, Virginia, born in Norton, Virginia, who passed away on June 23, 2020, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Clay "Bill" and Ruby Irene Peters (Dickey); and her daughter Misty Crookshanks. She is survived by : her husband Douglas H. Crookshanks of Verona; her sons, Shawn Crookshanks (Sarah) of Grottoes and Chad Crookshanks of Staunton; her brothers, Russell (Sandy) and Gary Peters; her grandchildren, Kali Johnson, Makenna, Hannah, Savannah, Leila Crookshanks, Olivia Martin and Elias Crookshanks; and her great-niece Allison Peters.
