It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Johnny Edgar Richards Sr. of Hardy, Virginia, born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 74, on April 16, 2024. He was predeceased by : his parents, Jack Lee Richards and Fannie Bertha Richards; his siblings, Betty Mae Lee, Robert Henry Richards, Ronald Edward Richards and William Lee Richards; his in-laws, Charles and Eunice Minnix; and his brother-in-law James Witt.

He is survived by : his wife Jeanne Faye Richards; his sons, Johnny Edgar Richards (Cindy) and Jay Michael Richards (Roxanne); his brother Joe Richards (Anna); his siblings-in-law, Timothy Minnix, Dennis Minnix (Vicki), Linda Witt and Gloria Garnand (John); his grandchildren, Jessica Richards, Johnny Richards III, Alex Richards (Tess Richards), Ashton Richards and Jordan Richards; and his great grandchild Austin Solorio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lighthouse Bible Church (2500 E Washington Ave, Vinton, VA 24179). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that you give to the Seats for Souls campaign at Lighthouse Bible Church for the building of their future sanctuary.
