It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrie Rowena Waites (Virginia Beach, Virginia), who passed away on January 25, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Lonnie Waites; and her son Ricardo Jerome Barnes. She is survived by : her sons, Samuel Monterio Barnes (Monica) and Lavora Rowena Barnes (Michael Whitehead); her grandchildren, Lauren Rhodes Barnes-Whitehead (Dijon Williams-Watkins), Morgan Rowena Barnes-Whitehead and Marshall William Barnes-Whitehead; and her daughter Channie Elisa WaitesDaughter.
