She was predeceased by: her parents, Madge Cook Baker and Robert Lindsay Baker; her husband Carl Barnard Dowe; her brothers, Robert Lindsay Baker, Jr., Willard Ransom Baker (Paula), William Thompson Baker, IV (Barbara) and David Peery Baker (Kathleen); and her cousins, William Hurd and Charles Hurd Hopkins.

She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Dowe Lynch of Essex, VT and Charles Lindsay Dowe (Trish) of Clarksville, AR; her great grandchildren, Cody Alexander (Christy) and Cory Taylor (Jordyn); her cousin Malcolm Lee Cannon of Virginia Beach; her son Lee Cannon (Anita); her sibling's children, William Thompson Baker and Francine Madge Baker; her daughter Elizabeth Charlotte Baker; her granddaughter Alyssa; and also, Jordan, Aria, Harper and Ann Mattfeld (Steve).
