He is survived by : his wife Nellie Foster; his children, Faye Sutherlin (Tom), Terry Lawson-Roppolo (Edward), Mark Foster (Marilyn) and Paul Foster (Sylvia); his stepdaughter Jessie Ann Thrift (Bill); and his sisters, Jane Hogge and Alvine Brown (Charles). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
