He was predeceased by : his parents, Mary Hise (Robertson) of Virginia and John Robert Hise; his wife Ocie Fay Hise; his brother Bobby Jarrell Hise; and his brother-in-law William "Billy" Bogan.

He is survived by : his son Wesley Hise (Becky) of Warm Springs; his stepdaughter Candi Lowry of Warm Springs; his grandchildren, Allen Meadows of Hot Springs and Ashley Nicole Taylor of Rocky Mount; his stepgrandchildren, Destynie Lowry, Stephani Lowry, Bobby Joe Dawson III, Kristie Nicole Kimberlin and Charlene Nicole Sass; his great grandchildren, Autumn Rochelle Sass and Logan Scott Kimberlin; and his sister Mary Ann Bogan of Warm Springs. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as beloved dog.
