He was predeceased by : his parents, James Oscar Shaffier and Lucy Margaret Hise Shaffier. He is survived by : his wife Peggy Shaffier of Warm Springs; his son Carl Eddie Shaffier (Linda) of Warm Springs; his granddaughters, Marsha Perdue (Bart) of Warm Springs and Laura Shaffier of Louisa County; his great grandchildren, Brayden Gillespie of Clifton Forge, Sydney Jessee (Christian) of Covington, Hope May of Warm Springs, Owen Perdue of Warm Springs and Cade Perdue of Warm Springs; and his great great grandchildren, McKinley Jessee of Covington, Oaklynn Gillespie of Covington, Leighton Gillespie of Covington and Mayzee Gillespie of Covington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
