He was predeceased by: his mother Louvinia Johnson Smith; his wife Rose H. Johnson; his aunt Annie E. Ruffin; his siblings, Lawrence Goode, Roland Goode, Delilah Pickard and Audrey Bell; and his siblings-in-law, Morris Lee Harris and Fannie H. Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Valeria (Waverly), Gerald (Linda) of Smithfield and Eric (Pamela) of Waverly; his grandchildren, Alexandria of Carrollton, LaNesha, Charmaine of Waverly and Danielle (Thomas) of Prince George; his great grandchildren, Destiny, Jamie and Tyriq; his sisters, Sophronia Goode and Lucy Hawkins; and his friends, Douglas Williams, David Bolling, Kindred Hospice of Petersburg and Crystal Wilkins. He is also survived by other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.
